I thought this was a great story.  No spoilers but basically a single case of blindness turns into a pandemic (assumed) of everyone going blind.  The story works its way through how the Government tries to control.  How those effected turn into a lawless society.  How a small group of survivors cope with their new lives.  I found the story very engaging.  About midway through the story I realized no one has a name and are referred to as the blind doctor, the blind girl, etc.  I always knew who each person was.  I also find it interested each person was referred to as the blind such and such.  Everyone was blind at this point.  Definitely made you think what would really happen if this came to be.  Not as depressing as I thought it would be but you definitely feel despair about the situation.
