From Twinkle, with Love
by Sandhya Menon
From Twinkle, with Love had all of the charm of Menon's first book, when Dimple Met Rishi, and the same love for film. Menon excels at creating complex, but relatable teenage characters, which is honestly a rarity in YA fiction. I loved that Twinkle was really passionate about film, and boys, and friendship, and popularity, and all of the other things that teenage girls really care about, in a way that seemed very authentic to the teenage experience. The love story was believable, I loved the focus on female friendships, and it all around made me smile. I will continue to excitedly await Menon's next works!
