I really wanted to love this book. The story is so complex and wonderfully entertaining. The story that is spun is very enjoyable. However one reoccurring theme in this book does a disservice to his readers by portraying his teenagers as oversexed. Not that most teenagers do not have raging hormones. But he takes the most level headed of his teenage characters and gives the impression that even a teenager with goals in their life are powerless against sex. That he can not stop to procreate himself or cannot think of doing anything other than wanting a seed inside herself? Did the last two hundred years not happen to Orson Scott Card? Some woman have loftier goals and ambitions than being a mommy or a snotty bitch even when they are girls and teenagers. And is there only nobility for Danny to resist dipping his dipstick? He has to be tricked? Are there no morals, dignity or nobility for any other characters?
