This book had so much potential with the history or war, politics, old ways vs: the advent of Christianity, but is seriously lacking in plot, character development and the details needed for a successful telling of a story like this. Where is the magic? Origin of Merlin? Where?  This book is a good example of telling not showing. The title of the book is misleading until you read the authors note- which incidentally is the best part of the book.
