Tempt Thy Neighbor by Teagan Hunter
5.0

5 stars!

Tempt Thy Neighbor is the fourth and final book in the Roommate Romps series, but the first I've read. How SILLY of me to wait this long! After devouring this one, I can't wait to go back and binge the first three! I've always gone to the beat of my own drum, so reading a series backward is on brand.

This book had everything you could possibly want. Wit and humor that led to laugh-out-loud moments, romance, blossoming friends to lovers, bitter enemies to lovers, a second chance twist, and so much more.

Holland's family hit the lottery (waiting on my winning ticket) and became part of the elite overnight. Sutton's family are the elusive Barnes' who are old money and run the town. Holland and Sutton always had a thing for each other but disguised it with competitive streaks. When that something turns into something else and then something more, the two were a little immature for it. A bit of miscommunication causes them to both hurt each other and become sworn enemies.

Fast forward to years later when Holland has quit her dad's company because she's had enough of being his puppet, and Sutton's temper caused him to be exiled from his messed up family. They meet again in a small town vying for the same job. And the same apartment. And the same social circle. And the same diner. And the same pie. But as we all know, there's a fine line between love and hate so does their competitive nature cause them to fall right back into their old habits?

We get to see both characters grow and really come into their own. They support each other and push each other to be better. We see their relationship truly blossom from enemies to frenemies to friends to lovers and it's so much fun every step of the way, with a great supporting cast. (I'm pretty sure I'm going to be Aunt Alma when I grow up... I have no kids, love my niece and nephew, and love Bingo).

I adored every bit of this journey. If I had to nitpick, would've loved a second epilogue that made me really feel like their HEA was set in stone, but for them, I think it ended perfectly. Take this ride and read this book! It will be so worth it, and I can't wait to go back and read the other three... and then see what comes next!
