A Feast for Crows by George R.R. Martin
3.0
slow-paced

the most interesting characters/chapters to read from the other books are either not in this book like Tyrion and Jon, killed off
Davos my love beheaded OFFSCREEN nonetheless, and the Hound
, or have nothing to do, like Jaime and Arya, who are otherwise compelling. Alayne and Sam are BORING as hell imo. The best chapters are some of the minor character interludes in Dorn and the Iron Isles. I love Brienne but she spends the whole book walking around collecting boring sidekicks and not finding Sansa
her final conflict with Lady Stoneheart is very heartbreaking though
. Likewise, Circei spends the whole book evilly plotting and not doing a very good job of it.

new drinking game since GRRM seems less intent on talking about fat people in this book, take a shot every time crows are mentioned. I get it’s the theme about what remains in the wake of war but damn it’s quite often.

I feel like I’d have more to say after listening to 100 hours of this series but whenever I try to recall what happened in any of the books I feel like I’m in a fever dream.
