Beautiful World, Where Are You by Sally Rooney

5.0

Well, I've been sitting on this one for a few weeks without anything very prolific to say about it; just a feeling that it was a beautiful read and I will undoubtedly hurry to finish anything that Sally Rooney writes. It's a very poetic and emotional read. Just soooo Sally Rooney. If you liked her other books you'll love this one too.

She's one of those authors that 1/3 of readers love and believe she's the next Hemingway, 1/3 don't understand why they like it so much but love it anyways and 1/3 despise her stoic and anxiety filled prose.

Definitely #2 over here. Lol. Sally Rooney you have my heart.

The book follows 4 adults in their late twenties/ early thirties navigating friendship, love, relationships and sex. But also anxiety and world issues, politics and the strangeness of contemplation.

Big thanks to @librofm for the ALC on this one!
