dark reflective sad slow-paced

This book is hard to rate because it’s definitely her speaking her truth and her experiences.
That said, I hated reading it. And maybe there’s something to be said about that; some philosopher or literary lover would tell me that’s what reading and writing are all about, to be uncomfortable. So sure, it does that. True literary merit.
But I hated reading it, and to me that is most important.
The sex stuff gave me the ick, even when it was romantic (which I think was the point of them).
And the experiences were SO painful. My heart hurts for her.
Overall, she’s a great writer. I wouldn’t read it again though. Or recommend it to my loved ones.
