The Dispossessed by Ursula K. Le Guin

5.0

An interesting take on the possibility of an actualised anarchist society (including both its defects and merits) and the difficulty of keeping revolution alive.

The book has many subplots and a variation of characters that provide us with different perspectives on the societies of both Urras and Anarres. There were many enjoyable dialogues that discuss some important questions/themes including; the control of information, censorship, power and class struggles, revolution, critique of capitalism, us vs. them mentalities, and mob mentality.

Chapter 9 was slightly too fast-paced and a bit of a riot (no pun intended, really tho bc it was a peaceful protest) but overall a very enjoyable book that left me with many questions.
