I didn't realize we were supposed to think Shadow WASNT the princess until it was ""revealed"" which is the most insulting thing in this book lmaooo who didn't know that immediately??
Still liked the world they build and the slow romance between them. The magic is underused but the world and history within it is very interesting. I'm also weak for a hardened character giving into their emotions for love. I also LOVE the casual inclusion of queer characters. No fuss whatsoever, that's good shit. Not the best but I'm still interested in the sequel.
