No happy ending, which absolutely makes me sob. I really was hoping that this would be a cute rom-com and it just wasn’t. Everything feels unsettled and unfinished, which I’m sure the author intended. I would like to give this a four for the writing but the absolute stupidity of everyone involved in the weird love triangle made me mad. I wanted to feel for all of them. I wanted to forgive them and root for them. I know they’re teens, but they’re old enough to know better to 1) treat Molly like an object to compete for, and 2) for Molly to constantly have no respect for herself or the person she was dating at the time and never be able to say no, and 3) for Patrick and Gabe to willingly want to hurt and betray the other, all while allowing all of the blame on Molly. I get that she was in love with both of them, in different times and in different ways, but she literally had no impulse control whatsoever it was ridiculous. I just wish that there was some kind of resolution and that these characters didn’t get hurt so badly.
