The pace was a bit slow for my taste, especially for a book this short. It’s a cute concept that needs some work. I was hoping for more cookbook related content but it’s more like The Foodie and the Demon. The way things were described around the spicy scene was oddly worded to the point it took me out of the story because I was laughing so hard in confusion. Again, cute but could use some work.
