The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell

It just felt like someone is just telling me the story about my past minus thriller elements.

So you know when a mystery/thriller books have a dual timeline and when we come to know about past timeline's thriller elements, which is usually a climax, and then the present timeline also has some thriller element. Well, in this book, it was lacking in the present timeline.
The whole suspense the book which was building, didn't serve well in the end. Yet it had some good shocking revelations.
