The Passionate Mistakes and Intricate Corruption of One Girl in America by Michelle Tea

3.0

Wasn't as possessed by it as I was by The Chelsea Whistle and Valencia but it was still super readable. I think probably reading the other two, which came out later, was always gonna do that, especially since some of the stories in Passionate Mistakes also appear in the other books. Didn't much like Eileen Myles's afterword. Like it was ok but then she was like 'I find myself thirsting for the details [of Michelle's childhood sexual abuse]' and it's like seriously? I know Michelle went on to write about that in detail but I think that comment from Eileen was inappropriate and invasive. MORE TO THE POINT THO, Michelle Tea is awesome.
