This is the second book with this title (well, very close) that I have read this year, but the other one is better IMO, and this is nothing like that book at all. What is does remind me a whole lot of is [b:The Fault in Our Stars|11870085|The Fault in Our Stars|John Green|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1660273739l/11870085._SX50_.jpg|16827462], but it's not quite as good as that (this is more like 3.5 stars for me). Both were published within the same year, which is so weird! It must have been the zeitgeist in 2012. Anyway, if you like intensely dramatic YA involving truly terrible circumstances, first love, and wonderful characters, I say this is a great example of the genre.
