I liked the book, but there is no way I would recommend this to anyone*. All McCarthy books make you feel terrible in one way or another, but this one in particular makes you feel a different kind of terrible. Still, a good book. I’m obsessed with how meticulously scenes are described, from the scenery to the worst things ever. 

*I wouldn’t recommend this book if this is your first McCarthy book, but definitely one you should read if you like his stuff.
