I loved this entire series, I’m so glad I wasn’t deterred by a few cynical reviews I’d seen.
It was intriguing how Mazriths quest for power inevitably entwined with Reynas quest for her identity. They needed each other to survive. The tumultuous way they fell in love & accepted one another’s light & darkness, was the key all along. It was lovely to follow two tortured souls find themselves through belief and trust in each other.

Reynas character was loveable in the end but, she was a real pain in the ass to start with. I adored how the more Mazriths secrets were peeled away, the more enchanting he became. His character deserved the inner peace & acceptance he’d always needed.

This last part of the series kept its fast pace & constant intrigue. It was suspenseful to the very last page. I devoured it in 2 nights because, it was an easy read that constantly built memento. It was simply unputdownable. Hence, I’ve read the entire series in a week. I was content with the ending, everything was rounded off neatly, without being rushed. Thankfully, there was no cliffhanger.

This was the perfect October read with all things, dark, mysterious and magical.
