Unwritten Rules
by KD Casey
Having taken a day to digest it, I cannot shriek from the rooftops loudly enough about how much you should read this book if you have even a passing interest in queer romance or baseball or second chances or succulents or nail polish or complicated but loving family dynamics or or or. Complicated and messy the way humans are but hopeful, critical of baseball in a way that speaks to how much Casey loves the game, fulfilling and yet still not wrapped up too cleanly to feel real. I cried at least three times over subtle, thoughtful details. Go read it.
