The Shearing Gun by Renae Kaye

5.0

This is the second book I've read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It's so Aussie, I'm a Melbourne girl so I related to the Doc who was out of his comfort zone in a farming town in WA. I fell in love with the land and the characters, well.. not to live there but for a visit. I could visualize the setting, the dust, the animals and long dusty roads. The characters were engaging and fun, even the secondary characters kept me entertained and glued to this book. M/M is not my fave read, but this was well done. A woolly headed shearer and a well to do city doctor made an interesting combination. I couldn't imagine small town gay men being well received but times are changing. Who would have thought that a book based around sheep shearing would be so good.
