I was pleasantly surprised when I picked this up, expecting a world of fantasy and legend, where magic and prophecies were common occurrences in crusades.

This book had the magic, and the prophecies, but not in the way that you would expect.

A fast-paced, well executed book of contemporary fantasy set in the wake of war, Burn is a novel you'd need to set an afternoon reading—else your mind would be elsewhere doing anything else.
