Nicci Gerrard writes beautifully in an interwoven story of her own father’s dementia and how both families and the state can care for those who succumb to this horrible disease - a disease which will only increase in numbers in the years to come. An important and challenging book, but written in a lovely and literary way. The love she has for her father shines through.
