A Swift and Savage Tide is the exciting and romantic continuation of Captain Kit Brightling’s story. The threat of war increases, Kit and her crew embark on missions, Grant returns, Rian and Kit’s relationship deepens, and we (and Kit) learn much more about magic and Kit’s abilities. It is rollicking fun.
Danielle Cohen’s narration was very well done. Her character voices were distinct and easy to follow who was speaking, and her inflections helped to keep the excitement of the story going.
I enjoyed it all and await the next book to perhaps get some answers about the new and deepening mysteries revealed in book 2. A great read and one I really enjoyed.
