This entire concept is something entirely fresh and different than anything I've ever read. The worldbuilding the author managed is phenomenal and I just was more. I think that's my only real complaint about this book - It was too short.

At first, the gene-manipulation and forced impregnation did make me a bit uncomfortable. But, the further I got, the more I became comfortable with how this plays into their world.

I do hope there will be more in this series, as teased in the epilogue, as I will readily devour them!
