A retelling of Hansel and Gretel.
I had a very different rating and review planned for this book until I read the Letter to My Readers' after the epilogue and learned that it is inspired by a real-life story, changing how I now judge the story.
Let me still say that this was a DARK, TWISTED, taboo(ish) backwoods story, and I have read some dark fairy tales. The story lacked balance for me. It could have ended at 58% and I would have given it a much better rating. As it is I would never recommend this read, I hated it.
