How to be a Renaissance Woman: The Untold History of Beauty & Female Creativity by Jill Burke

informative reflective fast-paced

5.0

A quaint look at historical women through a feminist lens. Not only did Burke look at aspects that are normally brushed aside, like slaves and what they wore and their social impact on fashion and beauty, but she also doesn't judge these historical women in the way most male historians do.

Definitely a fast and nice read I can recommend to my friends without having to tell them to disregard whole sections.
