Adored the deconstructing of people (reducing them to mere body parts) and inversely, the anthropomorphising of the inanimate. It injected so much atmosphere into the novel which kept suffocating Eilish. Such an awful story- so beautifully written. Really enjoyed the way the text form itself was utilised to play with pacing, it helped muddy the blurred timeline we find Eilish in who is trying her hardest to save her family.
