The cats is in the first chapter mainly, where they’re interesting. After that they’re not... Everything was predictable.
Felt like it tried to be too much and ended up falling short on most of them.
I really wanted to like it, but just couldn’t. Felt more like a tv show with episodes unrelated to each other than a book and we never really got a feel for any of the characters. Eva is also somewhat of a Mary Sue but make her mean. I can’t name a single point in the whole book where I actually rooted for her.
Will not read the rest of the series.
