Collin, a professional hockey player, is having a rough time. His team has just lost the cup and he is arrested after getting in a bar fight. Then he meets Harper. Things were just supposed to be casual...
This was a pretty standard hockey romance. He is cocky, she is quirky and "not like other girls". Their banter was cute, but I didn't really connect with either of the characters. They both had their reasons for wanting to keep it casual, but her excuse for pushing him away was incredibly lame. She is lumping all men into one stereotype, which is unfair.
I did really like Ryan. I may read her book because I really did enjoy her character.
Tropes: hockey, slow burn
