First, I would like to think the author for providing an ARC copy of this book.
This book was absolutely fantastic. I was vested in the characters from the beginning, and the cliffhanger at the end definitely has me wanting more.
I’m a sucker for a good vampire book, and this one does not disappoint. What starts out as an arranged forced marriage, turns into a friendship, an alliance, which, of course grows into love.
Luna and Sebastian are wonderful characters. She’s a strong, intelligent, female character. Sebastian, or bastion is the typical brooding male character who actually has a very soft, sweet side. I love the magic arc in this story, as well as the relationship that grows between Luna and Sebastian.
I can’t wait for the second book in the series. We are left on quite a cliffhanger at the end.
There are a few minor mistakes with editing, but nothing that can’t be overlooked. Mistakes are common, especially in ARC books.
Slow burn
Forced proximity
Forced marriage
Blood, of course, because there’s vampires
Hostage situation
Probably recommendation for 16 and up
