One Good Turn
by Kate Atkinson
I've clearly read this before and recently but it's not listed on GRs so not sure if I just forgot to add it. Still, Kate Atkinson is always worth reading and this is a wonderfully constructed whodunnit (kind of) with a broad cast who are all connected in an increasingly convoluted way. She shines in setting up the inner lives and voices of the characters and it's much more about them than the events of plot, though Brodie is a delight. It's very funny too and I was frequently smiling and giggling as I listened. Great stuff.
