Beautiful story about friendship, and quite a bit about being 14. For me, the child abuse was a lot to take, I also felt it was glossed over like it was nothing to others, and everything to the child. And maybe that was for impact — because that could’ve been how it felt to the child’s POV. Either way — that was tough for me to read. I loved the friendship and artist story side of this book. If I read this again, I’m sure I’ll be able to focus more on that.
