You Don't Know Me by Imran Mahmood
2.0
I thought the premise of this book was interesting and looking at other reviews on Goodreads made me feel positive about starting this book. Three and a half weeks later and I've finally finished this book - it's not even particularly long but the in-depth stories and two-dimensional characters started to grate on me. I couldn't remember who was a member of which gang and why I should be rooting for the narrator. Also, I found some of the phrases the character used quite Islamophobic - these offensive comments were used, with no real impact to the story, and there was no challenge to them. Despite an intriguing premise, I couldn't recommend this book.
