What is it about athletes that appeal so much to us? Maybe it’s the chiseled body, the sweat sleeked skin, or maybe their enviable talent with their hands? Yum. I personally agree with all of the above. Let’s toss in a playboy hockey player dead set on winning over the clothing designer he let slip away, and you have the makings of one hot chase.

Carolina is both terrified and excited about her fashion show. It could make or break her career as a designer. With the help of her brother, she now has a model she wanted nothing to do with ever again. Carolina is a workaholic, but with something so important looming, it’s easy to understand why. She is a perfectionist and determined to make sure everything is the best it could possibly be. She was a wonderfully strong woman, but she needed help stepping away from her work to relax. Although she wanted nothing to do with Drew, she always seemed to find herself involved in something with him. At first she fought it, the pain he had caused her in the past almost always interfering. But eventually she realized that Drew, on some level, had changed, and she embraced it and all its possibilities, knowing she might be hurt again. She was beautiful and fun, and always tried to see the positive in everything. In the end, she was rewarded with the best things ever: love.

Drew has always been the carefree kind of guy. He enjoyed life, had fun, and became an amazing hockey player. He’s never had any regrets in his life, except one: Carolina. So when he gets the chance to help her out, he not only jumps at it, he invades her life. He sees how dedicated she is, but he also sees how little she relaxes. Despite the tension between them, he shows her that times have changed, and that sometimes you need to step back and have some fun. He truly cared about Carolina and wanted nothing but the best for her. He proved to her that when it really mattered, he would always be there for her. He loved her deeply, he always had. And he never let anything stand in the way or ultimately winning her heart.

I liked how this story really showed how much Drew had grown and changed. Of course some things scared him, but he never let it truly get in the way. Carolina and him really embraced each other and took a huge step forward in their relationship from their past.

Beautiful.
