The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon
by Stephen King
I didn’t think I’d like this book as much as I did. I haven’t read much of King (Green Mile and The Stand we fab, but I couldn’t get into the Dark Tower), and I’m not a horror fan by any means. And yet I loved this book. While King gives his 9yo MC ridiculously enviable vocabulary and comprehension skills, I think he did a superb job with the inner dialogue a kid lost in the woods might experience (been lost in a few myself, tho nothing to write home about). Touchdown for King! (Sportsing isnt my thing either, obvi.)
