Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: Parts One and Two by J.K. Rowling

2.0

I just finished it.... I'm at a loss of words. It was fun to read a Harry Potter thing again, though I don't think it should have been advertised as the 8th book. The nostalgia of dropping everything I was doing to read a newly released Harry Potter book was great. Read it in one sitting. I knew that since it was a play, it would be very different from the novels. But some of it was painful to read, some of it was fun. I don't regret reading it but I don't think I'll give this a reread, not like all the rereads I've done with the real series. I would try to borrow it from a friend or library or buy it used before dropping 20+ dollars on it. Maybe it makes a better play than a read. Feels rushed and plot holes are insane. It's obvious that it is not written by JK herself.
