When Lies Unfold by R.C. Boldt

5.0

This was one book that immediately went to my “must be in my personal library” list before I even read it.

R.C knows how to write a blurb that intrigued you, but then when I started to read it, I knew it was something so special and unique. This IS my top read for May. “When Lies Unfold” was the most perfect story, it had the passion that a romance novel has, a mysterious aspect to it, a cartel/mafia vibe, great storyline, lots of plots and two main characters with insane chemistry.

I love Ms. Boldt’s way of meticulously writing Lola’s story and how Santiago was entwined into it. Each part of the plot, the scenes and showing sides to both Lola and Santiago were extremely well thought out. No little detail was left out, the emotions were strong throughout and it was a full-circle novel. The character growth in Lola alone was a 5/5 for me. It does get spicy, but not overly spicy, just enough to get the storyline going and showing their chemistry. I’ve never been so excited for a book in a while and can’t wait to add this to my personal shelf!
