I flew through this coming-of-age story. The writing was atmospheric. You'll be just as bewitched by the characters in this story as Mary Jane was herself.
I've seen this book compared to Daisy Jones & the Six and Almost Famous. While the music of the 1970s is a big part of all three books, I'd say this story is more similar to something like Little Fires Everywhere. Both books are character-driven, and I couldn't stop reading. This book has the most perfect ending, too.
