It's not often that I finish a book and feel desperate to read the author's other work, but that's how I felt after reading The Original. The clear skill and emotion with which this was written had me recommending it to friends before I'd even hit the halfway mark. I'm also glad I got to read it during Pride Month because the queer characters were written so perfectly. This is a beautiful, witty, charming puzzle of a book that kept me delightfully unbalanced the whole way through.
