It was cute and predictable. But predictable in the way that it wasn't meant to be. The biggest twist of the book was long foreshadowed. Lina kept on stopping while reading her mom's journal and it made no sense other than plot convenience and suspense. We were never really given a reason why she stopped reading. The romance was alright but wished this spanned over a couple of weeks instead of days.

Lina is made to be not like other girls. Ren legit said it once in the book. She runs and eats a lot. I don't know why but teenage girls always think loving food is a personality trait. I didn't feel connected to her as a character. Or any of the characters. Most fell flat for me like X, Howard, Ren, her mother. I wasn't particularly invested either.

Overall, a cute book but lacked depth :(
