Honey Girl
by Morgan Rogers
this book is so lovely, but be warned the romance is not a central point of the story!! the synopsis definitely leads you to be believe this mainly is about Grace's and Yuki's love story, but its definitely more focused on mental health and Grace's late coming of age. i feel everyone can relate to this book is some way regarding mental health, complex parent relationships, burnout, and so much more. i absolutely adored the LGBTQIA+ representation and the beautiful friendships in Portland and New York! the elements on r*cism and microaggressions in higher education and academic fields with very little representation of POC was amazing and so well done! i recommend this book to everyone!!
