I think, if I hadn't read the summary...I probably would have rated this higher...I feel like the summary is misleading. What I thought I was getting was a shifter romance where the leading lady goes into heat rather quickly and ends up pregnant and then the majority of the story would be him realizing his mistake, groveling a ton, and then finally becoming the mate he should have always been.  And don't get me wrong that is essentially what we get...but not in the timeframe I was expecting. 

The first 40% of this book felt unnecessarily long...I am glad I pushed through though. Didn't feel like he really groveled, did he feel bad? Yes, but it wasn't giving the level of devastation, yearning,  terrified that he'll never earn his mates love...that I'm used to and expect in a rejected mates romance.

I did love the way the story ended, though still missing a lot of info about a lot of players...guessing we might find out in future books? 

Anyways, overall a decent read 🤷🏽‍♀️
