“You can’t hate yourself into the person you want to become. You can’t hate your body into looking a different way. You can’t hold yourself to an unrealistic standard and then punish yourself for falling short. Hating and critiquing yourself is backward progress.”
This memoir was so much more than I was expecting. Being a huge fan of Madison Beer, I was surprised that I knew so little about her. Her account of her life felt so raw, and even though I saw a lot of criticism online saying, “She hasn’t experienced enough to write a memoir,” I would beg to differ. I don’t know many people her age that have been through so much. I really loved how intimate reading her book felt and I now have a new found respect for Madison and other artists in her industry. You truly don’t know what people go through behind the screen.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
