emotional hopeful informative tense fast-paced

This memoir was beyond intriguing and I had found it almost impossible to put down at times. It was such a harrowing account. Even after reading about Susannah's experience, I still could not fully wrap my head around how disorientating and debilitating it must have been to actively go through what she did whilst not knowing what her diagnosis was.

The background information provided on the topic throughout really illustrated how terrifying the body and brain behaved during Susannah's experiences with her disorder. It was just insane to read about how fragile our psychological and physiological systems could be.  I had also really liked the pacing within the memoir as I felt that the quicker pace narrative played a large role in immersing the reader as Susannah's disorder had progressed rather rapidly as well.
