did I expect this book to have a slow burn romance? Absolutely the heck not! Did it provide me with that? Yes! I experienced so many emotions bc why the heck was I able to connect with Helena's emotions so well even tho I have absolutely zero similarities to her except for being a woman??
AndTHE TWIST!?!!! the politics!! The anger!!! this book was also so beautifully written in the sense where you laugh at some moments, cry at some, feel the tension, all while it being rather accessible for a new(er) fantastical politics kind of reader.
And the pacing of this book was so incredible because I have maybe never read a fantasy book this well paced!!!!
