The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern

mysterious slow-paced

4.0

For a book I nearly DNFd multiple times, I ended up really loving it. I still feel like I’m in there and I can’t shake its feeling. Morgenstern is such a great writer and is amazing at cultivating atmospheres However, I don’t completely understand what I just read and I wish it had ended a little differently. There were a few too many threads in it for me and I don’t think they were all woven together well. The modern day/real world facets didn’t appeal to me, but the fantasy elements were great. All that being said, I think this will stay with me for a long time and I’m really glad I stuck with it.
