This book has been on my TBR for sooooo long, lol, and I knew that I wanted to read it for Christmas in July (yessss, this review is a little late ๐๐). Lots of Christmassy feels? A definite MUST. Cozy bookish vibes? Please, and thank you. Adorable swoonworthy moments? Give them alllll to me! Snowflakes and Sparks was a cute, quick holiday read. โ๐
As far as content goes: Some language and suggestive material/innuendos. Also, Suzie made a mental remark about Alex being a prostitute or pimp--because women kept entering and leaving his house--while also wondering if he was getting naked with all of them. She eventually told him that she thought women were paying him for sexual favors (which wasn't the case). I can understand why this was meant to be funny, but it honestly just rubbed me the wrong way. There was no on-page sex, but it was obviously talked about. Suzie stripped down to her undergarments at one point, in front of Alex, but in a nonsexual way. I think that was everything. ๐ค I would describe the book as a "PG-13 romance movie."
I know Christmas in July is over, but if you enjoy holiday romances that take place in a small town and have Hallmark-ish feels (but with a little more suggestive content, so Lifetime-ish feels lol?) you should add this one to your list for when Christmas comes back around. ๐๐
