I Miss You When I Blink: Essays by Mary Laura Philpott

3.0

I zoomed through this because it was due at the library, and also it’s an easy book to zoom through. I’m not as much of an over- achiever as she is, but even when I couldn’t relate, she’s a good writer with interesting things to say. There were several essays that ended just when they were starting to get interesting, but also a few that were spot on. She rarely digs deep, skating over issues just when you’d like her to plunge in. But it’s an entertaining read and I enjoyed it.
