I was honored to receive an ARC copy of Trial of Blood and Bronze, and thoroughly enjoyed reading it!

This books really shines in its depiction of the setting. Everything about how this book is written immerses you in the world that the author has created, and I love that about it! The characters are memorable, and I really enjoyed getting to know Dru over the course of the book. While I like Marcus, I think I might have preferred to have seen only Dru’s POV, but that’s just a personal preference for single POV books. The side characters were lovely as well, though I wish we’d gotten a little more of their stories. Perhaps this will be explored more in the next book!

Where things fell a little flat for me personally was in the romance. I think this is, again, personal preference, but it just felt a little bland to me. I wanted a little more from everything, although I will say that the “who did this to you?” moment had me kicking my feet and squealing!

Overall, I think this is a good book, but I also think others will enjoy it more than I did just based on a few things that are personal preference! If you like second chance romance, dual POVs, and KILLER historical settings, give this one a try!
