Due to most of the book being written in podcast episode format, this is a pretty fast-paced read that keeps you turning the pages. While I read this in 3 sittings over a couple of weeks, it could easily be read in one if you have the time. The protagonist is more of an anti-hero than a hero in the story, but I liked that cause I like flawed, morally grey characters. While I don't agree with every decision she made and she makes some pretty dumb ones in the end (as do most characters in thrillers & horror), I can at least understand why and it makes sense for her character (kind of, I'm still questioning one of her decisions at the very end). With a story like this, there's not many ways it could go. There's really only 2 believable ways this story could've gone, so it was easy to figure out the "twist," but I still enjoyed it and had fun with it anyway. The physical book had a few QR codes within the book that you can scan and I thought this would've been like extra bonus content that wasn't in the book, but the QR codes were just for a couple of video clips reenacting the end of the chapter that was just read. I don't really think these were needed and could've been better had it been bonus content that wasn't included in the actual book. But I'm definitely still interested in checking out another Carter Wilson book.
