A good read. I found the ending and the added novella at the end too hastily resolved, however - it felt rather unearned to have that good of an ending where everything turned out fine, and the relationship dynamics confused me - it seemed like polyamory but in a really weird way that just felt off. I understand that it was probably meant to be that way, but idk, i couldn’t really see it as romantic?
The language, being written from 1st person pov, mostly worked out well, but sometimes swung over into banality for me, especially the short 1-page chapters. It just felt a little overwrought.
Overall, I enjoyed reading this though, and it made me emotional. We just didn’t get enough time with Constanta to know if she truly is as good as she says or not. Everything felt very ambivalent - which was good.
